Ex-UGLY KID JOE Singer WHITFIELD CRANE: 'I'm Just Grateful For What I Have Had'

December 30, 2004

WhitfieldCrane.com, an unofficial site dedicated to former UGLY KID JOE/MEDICATION singer Whitfield Crane, recently spoke to Crane about his current activities and the possibility of an UGLY KID JOE DVD release. The singer's responses follow below:

On MEDICATION:

"Things start out beautifully, like you're 20 years old again and then they're going good, but it ends horribly."

On why he didn't speak with Q magazine (which reportedly wanted to do a full article and lowdown on each UGLY KID JOE member and what they are doing now):

"Because I didn't see the point, if there is nothing new, no new music to speak to a publication about. Then what is the point?! When I have something new to talk about, then that is the time to talk about it."

On a possible UGLY KID JOE DVD release:

"It'd be great. Go do it — cool, but I have no footage."

On his next move in the music scene / band:

"You know there's nothing going on, really. Yeah, I'm ready at anytime to go on
and do something but I don't have a band... You find me the greatest rock 'n' roll band and I'll sing with them… I'm just grateful for what I have had."

Crane also mentioned he's been living away so long, it's great just to get to know his family again, which he is really enjoying at the moment.
